The pre-alarm
The pre-alarm effectively reduces the workload for operating personnel by activating a microswitch in the red indicator cover when the window handle is operated, triggering a warning tone. This serves as a preventative measure against the misuse of the emergency exit.

Modern battery technology
Lithium batteries with a longer lifespan than the 9V block batteries commonly used by competitors ensure an increased operating time of the window monitor without maintenance requirements, thus reducing operating costs.

Battery monitoring
A fully charged battery is essential for the window guard to function properly. The integrated electronics automatically check the battery capacity every 21 days. When the battery is low, an audible signal sounds at regular intervals to alert the user.

Automatic alarm shutdown
Often, even a brief activation of the window guard is enough to draw attention to the use of the window being secured. Therefore, the intelligent electronics of the AlertLatch window guard offer an option to automatically deactivate the alarm. Users can choose between the following settings:
- Permanent alarm
- Alarm for 1 minute
- Alarm for 5 minutes.
