AlertLatch - Safety and regulatory compliance for emergency exits

The AlertLatch ensures that emergency exits are always unobstructed, as required by the Workplace Ordinance (ArbStättV) and the Technical Rules for Workplaces (ASR). At the same time, the AlertLatch gives operators effective control over the use of their premises.

Advantages of AlertLatch:
• Does NOT prevent emergency exits from being opened

• Ensures unobstructed escape routes in accordance with the Workplace Ordinance and Technical Rules for Workplaces

• A short pre-alarm when activated protects against misuse

• Very loud main alarm when fully opened

• Easy installation under the door handle

With AlertLatch, you meet the legal requirements for emergency exits while still maintaining control over your properties. Unauthorized access is reliably prevented without compromising security.

Trust AlertLatch for maximum safety and compliance of your emergency exits and escape routes!

Is the AlertLatch door guard tested according to EN 179?

A clear yes and no – and for good reason. EN 179 regulates emergency exit devices with lever handles or push plates for doors in escape routes, but does not explicitly mention door guards. Therefore, testing can only be carried out in accordance with DIN EN 179. Nevertheless, the AlertLatch door guard ensures compliance with all relevant safety requirements for emergency exit devices.

PS: Our managing director Axel Fischer has been active in standardization work nationally and internationally for over 10 years, leads European standardization projects and has in-depth expertise in this field.

Can I install the AlertLatch door guard myself?
