What is NB-IoT?

NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) is a specialized mobile communication technology optimized for connecting devices with low data consumption – for example, sensors, meters, or trackers. It is characterized by high energy efficiency, low costs, and particularly good coverage, even in buildings or underground areas.

NB-IoT offers up to +20 dB better link budget than LTE/5G connections – this corresponds to about 10 times the range or several additional walls that can be penetrated.

In practice, NB-IoT often reaches devices in basements or meters where 5G no longer has a signal.

The easy-NB platform is intentionally web-based to offer maximum user-friendliness and flexibility. This eliminates the need to install additional software or apps – a common obstacle, especially in companies where administrator rights are required for installations.

Instead, the platform can be accessed simply via a browser, whether on a smartphone, tablet, or PC. Since almost everyone owns an internet-enabled device, access is possible anytime, anywhere – without any hassle, waiting times, or IT approvals. This makes the setup and management of your NB-IoT devices as easy as possible.
